C2 provided architectural design services for the adaptive reuse of a nine-story building of One Broadway Center in Schenectady, NY. The 160,000-square-foot building, which previously housed the NYS Lottery/Gaming Commission and Social Security office, is being transformed into office space for Schenectady County.

The goal of the project is to consolidate multiple county government offices under one roof, increasing accessibility while reducing costs. The renovated building will house the offices of the County Clerk, County Legislature, County Manager, Department of Social Services, County Human Resources Office and Family Court, among other operations and departments. The Social Security office will also remain.
