In 2016, the owner/developer was looking to offer housing to support growth and revitalization initiatives in the south end neighborhood. The project goal was to keep people in Albany by improving the area, once known for high crime rates and dilapidated buildings.
The site was comprised of four vacant parcels with three buildings, which were demolished. Project concerns early on included parking capacity, safety, and visibility. The design intent focused on providing a new, multi-family complex with 30 luxury apartments, which addressed safety concerns of the community. With this in mind, features throughout the building included an enclosed, heated 25-car parking garage on ground level, smart technology security system with high quality video intercom for each of the units, and a 1,300 square foot rooftop terrace overlooking the city that only the tenants have access to.

I first started working with the C2 team back in 2016. At the time, I was looking for an architect to offer higher-end housing to support growth and revitalization initiatives in Albany’s Park South neighborhood. The goal was to keep people in Albany by improving the area, once known for high crime rates and dilapidated buildings.
The site I had purchased was made up of four vacant parcels with three buildings, which had to be demolished. C2 helped me take a derelict, eye sore and turn it into a brand new, multi-family complex with 30 stunning luxury apartments. C2 did a great job of taking my vision and making it a reality. Michael and Sarah were always available to take my calls and walk me through different parts of the project, step-by-step. The building was 100% occupied within 4 months of CO and today remains occupied with a mix of young professionals and healthcare employees who work for Albany Medical Center.
Instead of an individual architect, C2 became my Design Team and Trusted Partners quickly, whom I can rely upon for all my development needs.

Working with the C2 Design Team is effortless. So effortless, that when it came time to develop another multi-family complex, I knew I had the trusted, winning team already in place. I purchased the property right across the street from the first Reserve. C2 helped me to take another empty lot and breathe life into it.
Together, we used lessons learned from the first building and applied it to improve on this project. C2 rolled up their sleeves and worked hard to design a similar building, but with a new mix of unit types. They were efficient when producing several, different layout schemes. They walked me through the pros and cons of each option, really listening to all my ideas, opinions, and feedback. It too was 100% occupied, but this time within 2 months of CO.
Together as Trusted Partners, we decided on the best direction forward and completed this project on time and on budget yet again.
