Confidential Client
Building 112

Milton, NY

C2 was retained by a confidential federal government client to lead the design of this state-of-the-art, three-story, 33,000 square foot high-security office, and training facility located in Upstate New York. The facility achieved LEED Gold certification. Additionally, the project required significant security considerations, as it is located on a high-security campus. All project staff was required to obtain special security clearances.

To achieve the project’s LEED design goals, C2 worked closely with its team of multi-disciplined subconsultants to include features such as a rainwater harvesting system, recycled building materials, solar passive design, high-efficiency lighting, and HVAC systems, low-flow water fixtures, and sustainable landscaping features. Daylighting features and a photovoltaic system were incorporated into the building’s design. Throughout the project, building energy modeling was performed using BIM software (LOD 300) to ensure LEED criteria were being met. The project emphasized environmentally-friendly construction techniques, including the recycling of construction waste and the use of locally sourced construction materials. C2 oversaw the LEED certification process throughout the project.
