C2 was retained for the adaptive reuse of a vacant, former senior center called the Schaffer Building.
101 Nott Terrace is now referred to as The Nott, having been converted into a luxury apartment building with 27 units located in Schenectady, New York.
Early on, it was learned that the site had extensive asbestos contamination that would be a major focus for the project. The project received a $750,000 RestoreNY grant that helped offset the costs associated with asbestos remediation.
A third story was added to the existing building to increase the number of available units. Renovations included facade improvements, and window and door replacements, space planning, and finish selections. The building incorporates three levels of apartment units with one-bedroom and two-bedroom floor plans.

My relationship with C2 is collaborative. I could tell from the beginning that they cared about getting the project done right. They took the time to understand my goals for the project and together, we worked hand-in-hand. The C2 team was there to answer questions that came up and provided guidance on which direction I should take. I believe that their design was both thoughtful and creative while remaining sensitive to budget. All in all, they helped me achieve my vision and I would absolutely work with them again.
