Back in January, C2 teamed up with Capital Region CANstruction and The Food Pantries for The Capital District to help raise funds and collect food as a Hunger Heroes Team!
For months, the team collected non-perishable food items and raised money to help bring awareness to the issue of food insecurity. During this time, C2 decided to partner with long-time friend, Phillips Hardware to help us with this effort. The Phillips team was gracious enough to collect food and funds at all five stores across the capital region.
Collectively, the joint effort paid off! C2 was among 10 teams that participated as Hunger Heroes. C2 was honored as the top Hunger Heroes team at the annual CANstruction awards night held at the New York State Museum on Wednesday, March 27. The C2 team collected 174 pounds of food and raised $2,612 that directly benefits The Food Pantries for the Capital District.
“We were happy to help bring awareness to this amazing event and cause”, said Michael Roman, principal of C2. “Giving back to the communities where we live, work, and play is an important focus for our firm. ”
