The C2 Team came together to volunteer time packing bags of food at the City Mission in Schenectady, NY.
Over 500 bags of food were packed for the Schenectady Foundation in just one hour. The Weekend Backpack program currently addresses the hunger and nutrition needs of elementary school children in Schenectady by providing a reliable source of nutritious food to children each Friday during the school year.
In 2017, based on requests from other school districts, the Partnership expanded its services to children in Duanesburg, Mohonasen, Schalmont, and Scotia-Glenville. They are now reaching more than 1,200 children and families throughout Schenectady County.
“I live in Schenectady County. I own a business here,” said Michael Roman, Principal and Owner of C2. “Giving back to the communities where we live, work and play is an important initiative for all of us.”
Stay tuned to see how the C2 Team continues to show their support of communities in the Capital District.
