The official ground breaking ceremony for the new Albany Medical Center facility on Union Street in Niskayuna took place this morning, and all the local news stations were on-site for the excitement. The $8.5 million project will offer services for gastroenterology, cardiology, and general surgery, but it’s most common use will likely be the urgent care center that will be open to the public every day of the year from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm.
