Architectural Designer

Full-time Position

C2 Design Group is currently seeking a talented Architectural Designer with a minimum of 7-10 years of experience to join our Schenectady office. The qualified candidate will follow direction from a principal or project manager and assist project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with all phases of a project from schematic design to construction administration
  • Assist with field measurements, documenting existing building conditions to draft/model base plans
  • Perform architectural assignments including preparation of plans, elevations, sections, details and schedules
  • Assist with project and materials research
  • Prepare presentation materials and design boards
  • Attend in-house team meetings
  • Adheres to and implements firm contract documentation procedures and standards

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Architecture degree
  • Applicants must possess a minimum of 7-10 years of experience
  • Proficiency with Autodesk Revit is required
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and Sketchup is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Familiar with NYS Code and Specifications
  • Adheres to and implements firm contract documentation procedures and standards
  • Focused on ARE, if not already licensed

Salary

  • $60,000 - $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications or licensure.

Interior Designer - Level 2

Full-time Position

C2 Design Group is currently seeking an Interior Designer that has experience in schematics and design development. The Interior Designer will work in a collaborative environment leading programming, space planning, material palette/furniture selections and develop graphics for client presentations.

The qualified candidate will follow direction from a principal or project manager and assist project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead interior fit-up projects with a focus on programming and space planning
  • Assist with all phases of a project from schematic design to construction documents
  • Assist with field measurements, documenting existing building conditions to draft/model base plans
  • Perform architectural assignments including preparation of plans, elevations, sections, details and schedules
  • Assist with project and materials research
  • Prepare presentation materials and design boards
  • Can create Families of required components within the illustrations
  • Attend in-house team meetings
  • Adheres to and implements firm contract documentation procedures and standard

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Architecture degree or Bachelor of Fine Arts, Interior Design
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a designer at an architecture firm
  • Possess a high level of expertise, knowledge, and thorough understanding of current industry software including but not limited to: Lumion, Revit, Bluebeam PDF Review, and the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Desire to learn and be part of a collaborative design team
  • Focused on ARE or NCIDQ certification

    Salary

    • $50,000 - $65,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications or licensure.

    Project Designer (Lead)

    Full-time Position

    C2 Design Group is currently seeking a Project Designer to spearhead designs for the firm. The qualified candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience and will follow direction from a principal or project manager and assist project teams.

    Responsibilities

    • Work closely with the Client(s) and Design Team to lead the design process and provide exceptional interior/exterior renderings and animations
    • Must be able to communicate effectively with Owners, Architects and Interior Designers to produce exceptional visual renderings and animations
    • Supports and interfaces with Design Team to assure an accurate representation of the approved design
    • Can create Families of required components within the illustrations
    • Assist with all phases of a project from schematic design to construction administration
    • Assist with field measurements, documenting existing building conditions to draft/model base plans
    • Perform architectural assignments including preparation of plans, elevations, sections, details and schedules
    • Assist with project and materials research

      Project Designer (Retail Division)

      Full-time Position

      C2 Design Group is currently seeking a talented Project Designer to help us grow our retail division. The qualified candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience and will be responsible for the production of drawings for retailers including fitness clubs, restaurants, and pickle ball clubs located across the United States.

      Responsibilities

      • Assist with all phases of a project from schematic design to construction documents
      • Assist with field measurements, documenting existing building conditions to draft/model base plans
      • Perform architectural assignments including preparation of plans, elevations, sections, details and schedules
      • Assist with project and materials research
      • Prepare presentation materials and design boards
      • Attend in-house team meetings
      • Adheres to and implements firm contract documentation procedures and standards

      Requirements / Qualifications

      • AA Degree or Bachelor of Architecture degree
      • Applicants must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience

      • $52,000 - $58,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

      Project Manager

      Full-time Position

      C2 Design Group is currently seeking a talented Project Manager with a minimum of 7-10 years of experience to join our Schenectady office. The qualified candidate will be capable of handling a diverse range of projects. The candidate will have the opportunity to serve as the firm’s design lead.

      Responsibilities

      • Plans, organizes, and manages the work of the project team
      • Mentor staff while serving as a team builder and motivator
      • Manage multiple projects of varying types
      • Provide technical advice and troubleshoots complex issues
      • Provides ongoing communication through team meetings and presentations
      • Ensure quality project deliverables while adhering to client budgets and schedules
      • Coordinate with and lead consultant teams and other disciplines to ensure project details are executed, including technical issues and project information
      • Review documents for compliance with building and ADA codes
      • Adheres to and implements firm contract documentation procedures and standards.
      • Responsible for managing project budget, work plans, consultants, and schedule
      • Develops detailed project schedule and communicates key deliverable dates to project team
      • Maintain client relationships
      • Keep the client informed of project progress on a regular basis
      • Participates in selected marketing/business development opportunities

      Requirements / Qualifications

      • Bachelor of Architecture degree
      • Applicants must possess a minimum of 7-10 years of experience as a lead designer or project manager in all phases of projects through post-occupancy
      • Design, production, and technical expertise through all phases of design
      • Creative and thoughtful design experience with a solid understanding of the built environment
      • Proficiency with Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD is required
      • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and Sketchup is preferred
      • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
      • Strong organizational skills with the ability to successfully mentor
      • Familiar with NYS Code and Specifications
